Dr Goh Aik Ping

Medical doctor

Dr Goh Aik Ping obtained his Doctor of Medicine degree from UCSI University, Malaysia. Upon graduation, he underwent 2 years of housemanship training at Hospital Sultan Ismail, Johor Bahru from 2011 to 2013. 


After completed his housemanship training, he subsequently joined the Department of Anaesthesiology and Intensive Care in 2013 for 2 years as a Medical Officer. He is able to work independently in Operation Theatre, Intensive Care Unit (ICU) and also Acute Pain Services (APS). He is skilful in various procedures such as intubation, spinal anaesthesia, epidural analgesia, resuscitation etc. 


He has self-interest in the field of First Aid training, Family Medicine, and Emergency Medicine. He was a member of Resuscitation Committee for Hospital Sultan Ismail, Johor Bahru. Dr Goh is also actively involved himself in extracurricular activities. He is the Area Medical Officer for St. John Ambulance of Malaysia, Johor Bahru. He is being trained in Basic First Aid (BFA), Basic Life Support (BLS), Basic Ambulance Care (BAC), Advanced First Aid (AFA), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Air Attendant Course, Emergency Medical Air Rescue Services (EMARS) etc. 


Dr Goh consistently seeks to upgrade his skills and knowledge by reading medical journals, clinical practice guidelines and attending continuous medical education (CME) programs.  


Beside this, Dr Goh is a columnist for Sin Chew Daily “医识力”and“养身版”column. He is also a columnist for “Cahaya Sin Chew Weekly” (学海周刊)- a secondary school student magazine. He wrote multiple articles regarding Doctors-Patient-Relationship. Last year he had his new book 《医生,So What?》published. 


Doctor Goh is also a Medevac Medical Officer. He had been traveling around the world to provide medical evacuation services to the patients. He is currently the Founder and Doctor in charge of Care Family Clinic in Johor Bahru.
