2013 Voice Independent Music Awards “Song of the Year” winner and “Vox-Pop Winner” in the Cabaret Song category for the USA-based 12th Independent Music Awards, the Penang-born songstress BIHZHU is blessed with a rich, soulful voice and a whole lot of heart. Her rapturous performances have enchanted audiences, from intimate acoustic concerts to music festivals in all around Malaysia, Indonesia, South Korea, China, and Australia.

Combining elements of jazz, soul, reggae, and pop with her debut album “Nightingale Tales”, her genuine songcraft celebrates love, beauty, and life’s most treasured moments. Her latest single “Bright Veins” was released in March 2015 and is an uplifting tune that bubbles over with positivity, you can find it on YouTube, iTunes, Bandcamp, Spotify or catch it over the airwaves of our local radio stations.

Bihzhu made her musical debut in Pan Production’s staging of Stephen Sondheim’s “Merrily We Roll Along” as ‘Bunker’ in May 2014, and has continued her foray with appearances as ‘Little Red Riding Hood’ in 2015’s “Always in Wonderland” as well as ‘Florinda’ in the most recent “Into The Woods” in May 2016, which bagged “Best Overall Production” at the 2017 Boh Cameronian Arts Awards.

She recently contributed lyrics to “We Will Believe Again”, the second theme song of one of Malaysia’s top-grossing movies ‘Ola Bola’. Bihzhu also made a cameo appearance as herself performing her single ‘The Heart Way’ in the 2017 Penang Hokkien movie directed by Saw Teong Hin “You Mean The World To Me.”
